Yes, I know there would have been prep work, but for a company as huge as AG, I cant see the time constraints being an issue at all.
It may have taken only a month to file Lissie's movie but I guarentee months worth of preperation went into it, such as costumes, settings, props, crew and casting, and editing. I imagine which ever movie they are planning to make next will start filming rather shortly there after (the release of lissie's that is)
If they do make Emily.. I am looking very forward to the matching Princess outfit the two wore

I would really like to see movies for all eight girls too! After reading all of the Meet books, I find there's things I love about each girl, which only strengthens my want to get all the Historicals. That's what I love about the collection, though, it brings many different things to the table.

I was trying to explain my interest in all of this to dh tonight, and he just doesn't get it! He's where I was previously, "a bunch of $100 dolls." Hmmmmm.
Vicky--yes, she was Sarah! Her tag is gone, but that sounds right. Now she's out of the doll clothes bin and on the shelf next to our Felicity books.
I've seen things here about them making Ruthie--is that just speculation, or do we know that she is next? Any timeframe?
I AM giving dd her ebay Kit this weekend
However, I think that I am now thinking, "What will our next doll be?" I think she will probably be an AGOT. We both like 23 (actually, I liked her and told dd that).
And I had posted that I liked Felicity, but wasn't sure I loved the time period. Guess what? We're reading her Meet book, and I'm really starting to fall for her as Felicity. . . .
I found a cloth doll I got for dd when I visited a friend in Williamsburg and she has a red cape just like Felicity's. I dug it out of dd's doll box to show her! She's cute.
Felicity is such a wonderful character, isn't she?!
We're mostly speculating on who's next. A few people have spoken to Valerie Tripp (the author of about half the AG books), who said she's currently writing Emily's book. Emily is Molly's friend from England, she's in Happy Birthday, Molly.
Oh my gosh!!! EMILY!! MOLLY MOVIE!! oh my gosh, oh my gosh! Sometimes I get caught up in the samantha/felicity craze but Molly was my first and will always be my favorite!
Everyone keep in mind that books are not written over night. So it could be possible that Valerie Tripp put the finishing touches on a book before her current project. Who knows. Last I heard AG had rights to three movies... Sam's Lissy's and Kit's. Based on track records they seem to be wanting to release the friend doll with the movie... so maybe Ruthie will have a chance of coming first.
